Thursday, my mother and I attended AY Magazine's Runway For A Cause at the Clear Channel Metroplex Event Center.
Baptist Health and the Promenade at Chenal presented the runway show to fund the Baptist Health Nurse Navigator program designed to promote breast cancer awareness and prevention among women. It also assists in funding the CARTI Radiation Therapy Institute, Recovery Program, and Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute at UAMS.
After the fun luncheon, breast cancer survivors are models for the runway show. They were able to wear top pieces from area stores in Little Rock including: Dillard's, Barbara Graves, Companions, Scarlet, Fletcher & Bensky Furs, Proposals, New Traditions, Feinstein's, Beyond Cotton, and B. Barnett. The ladies did such a good job.
Three of our friends were in the show.
Mrs. Karen (far left)
Mrs. Janella
Mrs. Vicki
All the survivors
Mrs. Janella , Mrs. Vicki, and Mrs. Karen all with their signs.
I graduated high school with all three of their daughters.
One of my best friends Lacey's mom is Mrs. Vicki. She just completed her second round of chemo and has 4 more to go through right now. She is doing such a great job. Please keep her and all of the ladies fighting breast cancer in your prayers!
Love you!
Loved seeing Emily and Katherine at the Runway show. Here we are with their mom, Mrs. Janella. She did such a fabulous job strutting her stuff :)
If you want to help with the fight against breast cancer, the Race for the Cure will be in Little Rock in October!! Sign up here!
