Perspective

I found this browsing the other night, and loved it. So much of a message in just a few words. Makes you think. Anything is possible if you put your mind to it, and decide it is what you want. You really can "live the life you have imagined."

Movie time!

Last night.
Natalie, Chelsea, Seth, Zach, and I all headed to see Dinner for Schmucks.
Lacey and Brandon happened to be there too.
If you want a humorous movie that you do not have to think at all and can just relax...this is your pick. It had us cracking up {the guys more than the girls ha}.
Overall- Fun time with great friends!

So if you are needing a good laugh this weekend, try Dinner for Schmucks!

{Disclaimer: I never said you will get smarter watching this movie if you take my advice. lol}

Photo Fun!

This past Tuesday {yesterday} was so much fun.

I found out Monday that a photo shoot was scheduled Tuesday morning for me to get a new head shot for an upcoming project {insert super excited me}. I was scheduled to get my picture taken by Maumelle's own, Dawn Meyer at her studio. I did not know Dawn prior, just had a name and number that I was suppose to call.

Well....Dawn is the owner of

We became instant friends on our first meeting. She is so down to earth and genuine; makes you feel like you have known her forever. Dawn is getting into wedding photography after working coordination and overseeing the photo shoots for Dillard's the past several years. She has the photography industry down; learning from college, corporate, and now in the social field. Her studio is filled with her creativity. Showcased are her favorite senior portraits, families, and brand new images of her 2010 weddings. In the central Arkansas area? You definitely need to check her out {website} {blog}.

And, yes, we finally stopped chatting long enough to get a few pictures in.
These are a few of my favorites!

Now to what the picture was need for....Sorry, you will still have to wait a few weeks for that ;) But I am super pumped about it.

"Still Time to Shop"

Pretty sure everyone is super busy with August's arrival!
For me, today was a race around town! But I did something that I haven't done in a while...Shop! I was on a mission to find a few cute outfits for some events coming up. Mission Complete thanks to a few favorite stores. Lacey called me a speed shopper and I guess you could say that was true. We covered our grounds pretty quick, 3 stores & purchases in an hour. Just so we could make it back in time for The Bachelorette!!!

Gotta love girls with priorities :)

So moral of the story: No matter how busy you are, there is always "still time to shop."

And it is so much fun to grab a friend to tag along!

A Year Ago

A Year Ago.

A year ago, I was a single 22 year old girl who was headed out to
Hollywood.
I wasn't going out west to "make-it" as most whom are there, I was going for an experience. To gain knowledge about an industry that I had a passion for. A year ago, I made this blog to keep family and friends updated on my life. Most of all to record my travels, journey and experiences in California.
Little did I know, California would be where I called home the next 3.5 months. So worth it. 10 miles from the Santa Monica Pier and the Pacific Ocean. {Ahh makes me want to hop on a plane right now.}

The reason for this post is, everyday is a step in "my" climb. The title of my blog. The past year has been one of great growth for me, personally and professionally- it is documented here. Which I am so thankful for.

A year ago- I had no clue what to expect. No clue what to think. No clue where I would be in a few months. Absolutely no idea what the future held in the next year. Now. I see it. I see how God worked and weaved every moment that went into the last year of my life and see how it was part of his plan for me, now.

A year ago, I was at the bottom of the mountain, taking baby steps. 8 Months ago, I had taken the next step and moved back to Arkansas. Today. I am still climbing the beginning slopes of the mountain, with lots to learn ahead. The climb holds challenges and fears, some that I have overcome over the last year. But it also holds excitement and accomplishment. I feel it.

Little did I know, a year ago, I would be about to kick off Young Designs Fall wedding season, participate in my third bridal show, and have opportunities knocking on my door. I am so thankful for this last year. The lessons learned. The blessings received. The friends I have met. The experiences I have made.

The climb is not over, it is still in the early stages. The blog isn't over, it is picking back up, and I am so excited about what year two on the blog will look like, include, and document.

Lake time!

Since this weekend was the last weekend in July, and my last free weekend of the summer... I had to celebrate in style. My mother and I headed up to Greers Ferry Lake Saturday to meet up with some sweet friends! We had a Mother/Daughter weekend at the Rose's Lake house. It was so much fun! We relaxed, tubed, swam, and ate some delicious grub {aka Steaks & pioneer woman's chocolate cake!} !! It was the perfect weekend with our mothers and Mr. Rose who chauffeured us around the lake!

On the way there we even "chased" a few baby deer!
(Note to anyone worried: we did not actually chase them, they were just running in front of our car for a little while.)
Fun in the Sun!!!
